These bowls were made by Federal Glass in the 1930s. Federal Glass began producing glass in Columbus, Ohio in 1900. The Beatty brothers George and Robert J. Beatty Glass was a successful Glass Company known for making Tumblers. They soon started production of bottles and made many jars that were used for packaging Grocery products. Federal used many molds that were acquired from US Glass and other companies. Many other glass companies were using patterns that were the same as Federal Glass. Colored glass was added after 1914. In the 1920s and through the Depression, Federal was producing full patterns of Kitchen Ware and Table Ware. The Great Depression was a severe Worldwide Economic Depression from 1929 – 1939.
Condition: This set of nesting bowls in good vintage condition. No nicks, chips, cracks or repairs. There are some bubbles that are common during the production of glass. The Golden Glow Yellow is vibrant and the bowls are shiny.
