In 1907 Fenton began producing glass under the Fenton name. They were known for the Carnival glass which they created in 1907. By 1938 Fenton began making French Opalescent glass in the Hobnail pattern. By 1939 Fenton was selling and producing Hobnail items in milk glass. This became the Fenton Company’s top selling line. Fenton’s early pieces were not marked with a makers mark. Fenton began to place makers marks on items produced in 1974.
