This is a Fire King milk glass Shell vase. Fire King milk glass is made by Anchor Hocking. Buy this Fire King milk glass Shell vase for your collection. This Fire King Shell vase is the Vitrock style of milk glass that was made in the early 1940s. This white Vitrock vase was made by Anchor Hocking Fire King and was called a Deco Table Vase. This style was in an Art Nouveau style created by FireKing and produced by Anchor Hocking. Vitrock is when the color is fired onto the glass. The result is a beautiful shiny glaze, that some don’t even call milk glass. This vase measures 7 5/8″ and is on a pedestal base. There is a Shell design around the bottom of the vase, and a Scroll tab handles on each side of the vase. A gorgeous addition to a vase/ milk glass/bit rock/Anchor Hocking FireKing collection. FireKing was a brand of Anchor Hocking. Anchor Hocking began as the Hocking Glass Company of Lancaster, Ohio in the early 1920s through 1938. In 1937, they merged with the Anchor Glass and several other companies. The name was changed to Anchor Hocking Glass. They made a wide variety of glass and table ware. FireKing which is a brand of Anchor Hocking is well known for the Oven to Table ware. Many items were unmarked and only had a sticker label attached. Later the FireKing logo was incised onto the bottom of the item. Anchor Hocking also used an H over an Anchor on many of their items.
Condition: In Good Vintage Condition. No chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. Color is a vibrant white . Slight scratches and slight ripples in the color when firing. These areas are common and appear to have occurred during production of the vase.
